Irving Park is classic Chicago, just north of downtown, close to everything, including with restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery stores, health clubs, shopping, and every public transportation. Our home is north west of Lincoln Park, a 15 min drive to Lincoln Park Zoo.
Our home is a 20-minute drive off the lakefront and Lake Shore Drive. There, you have multiple beach fronts and boat harbors. You'll pass by Wrigley Field (home of Chicago Cubs baseball) along the way.
There are multiple points rent a Divvy bike to ride the 17-mile lakefront path, then drop your bike anywhere in the city. Trader Joe's, Mariano's, Whole Foods and Starbucks are an easy 10-15 minute drive. There is a small grocery store one block away.
It takes 25 minutes to drive downtown to The Magnificent Mile for world-class shopping, or 30 minutes to the Chicago River, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, The Art Institute, Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Soldier Field, The Loop, or the Theatre District. A 20-minute drive north takes you into Evanston and Northwestern University. 40 minutes south and you're in Hyde Park, home to the University of Chicago, The Museum of Science & Industry, and the future site of the Obama Library.
