Welcome to the Kolmer Farmhouse, a perfect location for your stay in the St louis Metro area. 14 miles from South St. Louis (Jefferson Barracks Bridge) and 21 miles from the St. Louis arch.
Our 5th generation, 1920s farmhouse has been lovingly cared for by the same family for almost 100 years and is conveniently located just off Route 3 and 1/2 way between Waterloo and Columbia. We are happy to share it with you as your home away from home. Situated on our family farm, this home was built by our great grandparents as a wedding gift to our grandparents, Helen and Conrad Kolmer.
Freshly updated with modern convniences and nostalgic touches. Enter the enclosed porch with convenient washer/dryer access. The farm style eat in kitchen features high ceilings and farm style table, gas stove and normal kitchen amenities. Hardwood floors and no carpeting takes you back to a simpler time. The spacious dining room is open to the front living room and wraps around to the primary main floor bedroom with quick access to the bathroom. Bathroom features a corner shower (may not fit very large people). Two nice size bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds) and a landing with a large desk area are on the 2nd floor.
Outdoor patio will offer a nice place to sit and "listen to the corn grown". There are four stairs to enter the home. We offer a coffee maker, microwave, stove, refrigerator, washer/dryer and high speed internet.
Waterloo and Columbia are bedroom communities of St. Louis and proud of their Old World heritage. Many trendy dining and drinking options within 5 miles of the property as well as local shops. Free municipal band concerts on the Waterloo courthouses square through the summer and several festivals and fairs throughout the year. There are 4 golf courses in Waterloo and 2 in Columbia, so don't forget to pack your clubs. St louis shopping, dining and hospitals are in close proximity.
Smoke free property - no vaping inside the home, please. A 3 night minimum stay is required at this time. After you register you will receive an email with instructions for access into the home.
