Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Yes, this is an older property, but it appears investments and improvements are being done on an ongoing basis. The room was clean and comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was FANTASTIC! And the water was not hard as it is in so many hotels at all price points. I did, though, miss the vanity having a stopper so as to allow one to fill the sink for washing, shaving, etc. The room also featured a large flat screen television (50+ inch diagonal). Please remember this is a basic hotel; if you want extra frou-frou find a hotel that offers that. If, on the other hand, all you want and need is a great place to stay for rest at an affordable price this is a great choice near the corn and soybean fields of rural Illinois.

Negative: Wi-fi was marginal and the in room phone was not operational; a situation hotel staff responded to by noting repairs were lined up for the following week.
