The carefully hewn pine walls stand as they have for more than 40 years - simple, sturdy, and strong. This log cabin is a cozy retreat just 20 miles fromthe St. Louis Arch and 7 miles from Scott Air Force Base. We are the perfect destination for a family, couple, group, or friends getaway!
This magnificent two-story log cabin has two large sitting rooms, dining area, robust kitchenette with mid-size refrigerator, sinks, toaster oven, induction hot plate, coffee pot and kettle. There are three custom built fireplaces, one in each sitting room, and one upstairs in the suite. The upstairs suite is charmingly appointed with a queen size bed and a private bathroom that boasts a luxurious, old fashioned clawfoot tub with curtain & shower. The second bedroom on the ground floor has a twin size bed. There is an additional queen size convertible sofa in the TV room, a queen size futon in the living room, and a convertible twin size chair in the living room.
This listing does not include the downstairs "Westerfield Kitchen Flat", which is separated by a locked door and is also available for rent.
We will send check-in info 24 hours before your arrival. In addition to the crib in the upstairs suite, there is a pac-n-play or cot available if needed. Please message us any time for assistance before, during, or after your stay.
Though just a short drive from St. Louis, our village is in the heartland of America with 4,500 residents. We hope you will enjoy a walk back into nature; a wonderful alternative to the hectic pace offered by city hotels and inns.
We are three miles from the metrolink, but this cabin is easiest reached by car. Uber and Lyft are usually available. Also be aware, the address is 8059 but the actual turn is at marker 8041.
The cabin has 2 parking spots in the adjacent parking lot, they are well marked. Please only park in the lot, not in the driveway as a courtesy to other guests. Trailers/oversized vehicles require approval, may incur an additional fee.

The televisions (2) have local channels and a DVD players built in. Some books, games, and movies are provided. There is a Ring doorbell on the front porch.
